Harvest Riverside has a pretty amazing coffee shop built inside known as cafe 3:20. I was a bit blown away by it the first time I went to the Riverside campus, because it was nice and seemed pretty hip and relevant, but I think what stood out the most was the name.
I asked myself, why 3:20? Shortly after I stumbled onto a piece of stained glass that decorates the exterior of the coffe shop, it had written on it, Revelation 3:20.
“‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
Better yet, it’s not only a coffee shop, but it also has a grill, a food component, that serves a variety of tasty assortments, like their club sandwich, which, is amazing I might add, but the most important part is this. The coffee shop is an extension of the churches heart, the church cares incredibly for those who have never been to church, who are not Christians, and those that want to be. The church is smart and loving, and the cafe is an extension of that. The cafe is a place where Jesus is crying out and saying, I’m standing here waiting for you, and if you let me in I’ll dine with you, in fact, I’ve been waiting here to do that very thing. If you hear my voice and let me in, you don’t have to eat alone anymore, we can eat together, for eternity.
If you’re lonely and you’re looking for some company, and you’re tired of eating alone. Come to Cafe 3:20 at Harvest Riverside, Jesus is there and he’s waiting for you.
